With these words I mark the dawn of a new era. An era in which our studio also publishes a biweekly blog! What can one expect to find in these electronic tomes? Great question! The answer shall be revealed in time. That time is now.
First and foremost, this will be a space for the team to share what’s on the slab at any given moment. Our dear readers will be treated to a titillating behind-the-scenes look at what’s on the slab at the Copper Crocus. We’ve got process photos, concept sketches, and the ramblings of a mad wizard (who knows what he’ll come up with?) queued up for your enjoyment. Stay tuned!
This week, the team has been taken with a few classic summer-break arts and crafts. ‘Tis the season of beaded lizard key-chains, tie-dyes, and friendship bracelets. Must be something in the air. So hard to beat an early summer night spent listening to the evening settle in while engaging with a low-stakes high-return craft. Don’t get met wrong, it is exhilarating to research, plan, and execute on a large-scale project. That being said, sometimes a guy just wants to play it entirely by ear. That’s what’s so lovable about The Bead Lizard. Can’t go wrong really. Our team has had fun playing with the scale. Just how large will the lizards get? Only time may tell.

The team failed entirely to take any photos of said friendship bracelets prior to their distribution to various friends. Additionally, the colors for this season’s first batch of tie-dyes came out muddy. It happens. There’s a batch of bandannas hanging around that we ought to get to this week. I am hopeful for a better outcome with the bandannas.
In other impelling news, the date of our DEBUT in-person event draws ever closer! Flower City Comic Con commences on Friday, September 12, 2025! According to my calculations, that is a mere two months, twenty-six days, and seventeen hours from the time of penning this entry. September seems somehow simultaneously ages away and also like it is tomorrow. There is still work to be done with considering our booth layout. There has been great progress made in the way of production. Shouldn’t reveal too much too soon. Always gotta leave you folks wantin’ more, amiright? Here’s a look at the recently restocked consignment case at the local glass shop, to tide you fine folks over. Check out those sculpted face pendants, only a mother could love ’em, eh?

Signing off for now!
P.S. What does a wizard do when they’re feeling tired?
*They sit down for a Spell!*
